The waiting period is the time you are not covered.

With the Cap Au Pair contract, you are covered from the first day of your contract, no waiting period applies. You have to be in good health before departure because the insurance company does not cover any unstable preexisting condition or anything prior to the subscription date.

For maternity related medical expenses, a 180-day waiting period applies. Pregnancy must be unknown before the effective date of the cover and the insured has to be less than 30 years old.
