To calculate the amount of your compensation, the insurer takes into account the limits provided for by the insurance and the depreciation. Depreciation is the loss of value of an object according to its date of purchase. So you never get back 100% of the purchase value of an object.
Valuables include jewelry, watches and furs.. They are compensated for 50% of the €3,000 provided by the policy, i.e. €1,500.
Example: I take with me a laptop worth €2,000 and a camera worth €1,000. The amount of the compensation will be a maximum of €1,500 (not €3,000)
